Kenny Martin

Mark Cleghorn

Kenneth has been a professional photographer since 1985 when he opened his first studio in the heart of the Scottish Borders. Although a general photographer for the first 10 years he soon realized that portraiture was his passion and in the mid 90’s dropped everything to concentrate exclusively in portraiture. His specialty is natural light home and location portraiture and editorial portraiture and the past couple of years has seen Kenneth once again enter the highly competitive world of wedding photography.

As well as running his own ‘High End’ Home and Location portrait business from his Gallery in Peebles, Kenny also runs, with his wife Nina, one of the biggest and busiest Portrait studios in Europe, Venture Edinburgh in the heart of Edinburgh city centre.

Kenneth was the one of the first portrait studios in Europe to convert to a 100% digital workflow with leading digital back manufacturer Phase One in 1987, in recent years he has visited many parts of the world lecturing to his fellow professional photographers on the subject of portraiture and digital workflow for high volume portrait studios.
