In this Mark Cleghorn is shooting off camera flash on the beach with Heather our model for today. The shoot starts off on the sand dunes using one speedlite connected to a quantum battery pack for fast flash recycle. Using a Lastolite hotrod Octa box to give a soften to the image, but some of the most dramatic shots during the shoot was taken with just the raw flash on the dunes and beach.

Marks shooting with a 70-200mm and 12-24 sigma using the Canon 5d MarkII and the flash wave iii to trigger the flash.

PT4U Master Fashion Photographers Andy Kruczek

Andy Kruczek has worked around the world as a photographer in the Fashion, Beauty and Advertising sectors. Most recently he has become recognized as one of the foremost photographers within the UK hairdressing Industry.

In this three part film, Andy is shooting for one of his clients Nick, these shots are for an annual L'ORÉL Colour Competition within the hair industry. Andy talks about his studio and the set up that he has within the premises, which allows him to be fully equipped for his clients. Variety is the key for Andy's work with hair making sure he has captured the images that the client is looking for.

Listening to the clients needs and mood boards are key for his work, making sure that what the client wants and the style reflects in the images and work together with the rest of the elements with the photograph, Making sure that the lighting, pose, style and hair all work together.

In this series Mark Cleghorn works with a photographer and studio owner Michelle Szpak to develop her what was failing business and help her get out of a financial rut and make her business survive and flourish.

In this two part film film Mark talks to Michelle about increasing business and bookings through leads and independent companies around the local area and how and what to do to action this. Michelle touch's on corporate gifts, how to promote, schedule and sell the package to perspective clients.

Wayne John has worked around the world as a photographer in the Fashion Business.  Wayne's inspiration, enthusiasm and passion for fashion is fueled by anything and anyone around him. Being nominated as a finalist in the 'Professional Photographer of the Year' competition and in the very Prestigious ' Hasselbald Master Awards'.

In this film Wayne talks about fashion photography and the various areas of fashion. Wayne talks about the different styles of lighting that can be used to create the end result. At the end of the interview you will see a flavor of one of Wayne Johns live fashion shoots.

Photo Critique Live

Each month on PhotoTraining4U members have a chance to have their images critiqued by Mark Cleghorn. The photo critique sessions run between 60 and 90 minutes, during which Mark comments on around 30-50 images.

This film made in conjunction with The Lastolite School Of Photography and concentrates on the The Brolly Grip on Location

In this film you will see how Mark uses the Brolly Grip by himself on a location portrait shoot with young Lucy. With the use of a short and long TTL cable by Lastolite you will see how Mark is able to get a large variety of shots with this essential piece of kit.

The ultimate light modifier for the photographer who needs to be mobile. The new Brolly Grip is a unique hand held bracket which supports the flashgun in a horizontal position along an 8mm or 10mm shaft of an umbrella. It can also be mounted to a standard spigot lighting stand.

In This film you will see the PT4U Event Master Jeremy Nako shooting live at a Palmers award ceremony. Jeremy talks about the procedure for this event, from shooting on stage to the studio set. Jeremy's assistant is shooting the main awards this evening as Jeremy knows that as soon as it kicks off its going to get very busy very quickly.

In this film Jeremy talks about his set up on the night, the positioning and style of shooting on the event and an over view of the equipment involved while shooting live at these types of events. Jeremy explains through the sales process and the sales on the event night and the importance of personalizing the product for the client

In this film mark is shooting a family of three in the studio. Mark shoots a whole range of backgrounds from Hikey to a mixture of paper back drops from red, blue and finishing the session on the orange background.

Mark is using a basic studio set up to start in this shoot, using two Elinchrom BX500 heads to light the background for Hikey measured at f16 and his main light is another Elinchrom BX500 flash with a large rotalux Softbox measured at f8. Mark talks about metering for the Colour backgrounds during the session itself.
