He then moves outside to do more groom and best man shoots, moving back up stairs to finish off the detail shots before they make there way to the ceremony.

You could win the training of a lifetime. Two lucky winners will join the PhotoTraining4U Team every 3 months, for 2 days of fun but intense training and shooting in some fast paced fashion action with a chance to see your images in print.

To be in with a chance of becoming one of the 2012 Apprentices, all you have to initially do is enter one image that shows off your interpretation of "Fashion" - this is the first stage. Stage two - Mark Cleghorn and the PhotoTraining4U team will then select the top 40 images. The third stage is the online vote based on a selection of 6 images. The top 10 panels with the most votes will then go through to the final stage, a live judging where Mark Cleghorn will choose his next Apprentices.

So anyone has the chance to win Photography's greatest prize.


Rules of Entry
Only one picture per person • The prize is 12 days of training including accommodation • Images entered into this competition may be used in promotion of the competition but copyright remains with the photographer • The winners will be selected by Mark Cleghorn and The PhotoTraining4U team and the online voting • Closing date for entries is 11th March 2012 • The top 40 will be selected live online on 17th March 2012 • The top 40 will provide a panel of 6 images for online voting • The top ten panels through voting will then be put into the final live selection with Mark Cleghorn • Applicants must be either a Lite, Monthly or Yearly active member of PhotoTraining4U • Voting and judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into • Winners will be filmed during the training for use on the PhotoTraining4U website • Winners will be responsible for their own travel expenses to the UK PT4U Studios near Cardiff.

In this part of the film Mark talks about the location and the equipment that he's going to be using throughout the day. You will see mark shooting the Groom and the Best man moving on to the bridal portraits and bridesmaids.

In this real and raw session Mark Cleghorn is shooting one of the biggest groups he shot in his small studio in a long time. The session is for a golden wedding anniversary.  Mark talks about the set up for the shoot and the variety of groups within the family that the client wanted shot as well as the full family

You get to see how Mark construct the initial family group and then develops into more variety for the client. The main shoot is about the mum and dad and then mark builds the group around them.

This film made in conjunction with The Lastolite School Of Photography and concentrates on the Micro Apollo MKII and how it is used. The Micro Apollo MKII is a mini light modifier for Hotshoe flash which softens harsh light. It features a lightweight internal frame structure and can be set up extremely quickly as it requires no Velcro, additional adaptor or bracket. The Micro Apollo MKII simply slides onto the flashgun.

The film gives you an insight in to using and getting the best out of the Micro Apollo when shooting, Mark Cleghorn demonstrates the setting up of the product and how to use the product in every day shooting with on camera and off camera flash.

In this film you see Mark Cleghorn in the studio with engaged couple Mye and Eoin for their pre-wedding shoot.

Marks taken the couple out location to the national museum of Cardiff. Marks shooting the session in Mono chrome as he feels it suits the location and the couples clothing. As you will see the session is broken down into stages, firstly mark just wants to break in Mye and Eoin so they feel comfortable with him. The groom doesn't really like having his picture taken so working quickly is a must

The reason for a pre-wedding is so that the couple can feel comfortable with the photographer, but also so the photographer can get familiar with the couple ready for their wedding day.

Marks shooting with the Canon 5D mkII with the 70-200mm lence and the Sekonic light meter

In this WOW film Mark Cleghorn Shoots Katie, a nude model dancer in the studio. Mark is shooting with very harsh lighting to emphasize the line and to exaggerate the pose. Mark introduces a piece of material that is used primarily to soften the images and to be used as a prop but also to show the movement and shapes that Katie is making.


Unlike the usual films where the images are straight out of camera, these WOW films show the finished image.
