In this Film Mark is on location in sunny Fuerteventura shooting Windsurfing and kite-boarding. Mark initial talks about the location and the kit that he uses when shooting sport photography and the types of worries any photography should think about when working close to sand on on sand.

Fuerteventura is renowned for Windsurfing, marks also talks about shooting for clients but always thinking about shooting for commercial and stock photography.

Wayne John has worked around the world as a photographer in the Fashion Business.  Wayne's inspiration, enthusiasm and passion for fashion is fueled by anything and anyone around him. Being nominated as a finalist in the 'Professional Photographer of the Year' competition and in the very Prestigious ' Hasselbald Master Awards'.

This Film is in two sections the first Mark talks to Wayne about his aristocracy shoot and how the styling came round from the clothes to the make-up and the inspiration behind the shoot itself. Wayne talks about the studio set up the type of background that is being used and the lighting set up.

The second section of this film you will see when in his natural environment whilst on a shoot, this is a flavor of the day and what goes on behind the scenes.

In this Film Mark talks to Wayne about one of his beauty shoots called Birds of Summer. The two photographers talk about the styling, hair, make up, lighting, posing & photography and how each of the this elements is key for creating the images.

This film features Mark Cleghorn shooting Heather in the studio for the NTM Promotion. The shoot shows the simple lighting and the variety achieved during the session.

PT4U Master Fashion Photographers Andy Kruczek

Andy Kruczek has worked around the world as a photographer in the Fashion, Beauty and Advertising sectors. Most recently he has become recognized as one of the foremost photographers within the UK hairdressing Industry.

In this interview, Andy Talks about Shooting Hair with guys. He talks about the brief from the client, looking at mood board and the themes of shoots that they like. Andy touch's on the model casting and being their, as choosing the right model for the shoot is very important, they must have the right look, the right hair for the clients brief.

In this three part film Mark Cleghorn is on location with one of his mentors and a Fellow in Portrait Photography Peter Lowry. Peters work is very classical, everything from the use of light on location, technique, story telling and styling with the shot.

Peter Lowry, who established his studio in Frome in 1976, is qualified as a Fellow of The British Institute of Professional Photography, The Royal Photographic Society and The Royal Society of Arts.

Not only has he studied with some of the finest photographers in the world, but he has also lectured in various European countries and extensively throughout the British Isles.

His wedding and portrait photographs have won many competitions, receiving The BIPP National Portrait Photographer of the Year Award on three occasions and no fewer than three coveted Kodak Gold Awards, thus becoming a member of the elite Kodak "Gold Circle"

In this film you see Mark Cleghorn out on location with engaged couple Helen and David for their pre-wedding shoot.

Marks taken the couple out on location to a local park in Cardiff. Helen and David are mature couple, Its their first time getting marriage so it just as important to them as any younger couple.

As you will see the session is broken down into stages. Its essential mark just wants to break in Helen and David so they feel comfortable with him. Interaction with the couple is a must so that the personalities come out with the photos.

The reason for a pre-wedding is so that the couple can feel comfortable with the photographer, but also so the photographer can get familiar with the couple ready for their wedding day.

Marks shooting with the Canon 5D mkII with the 70-200mm , 400 iso shooting at 200/s + with a working aperture of f4 - f8 depending on what he needed plus he always has his Sekonic light meter on him.

To be in with a chance of becoming one of the 2012 Apprentices, all you have to initially do is enter one image that shows off your interpretation of "Fashion" - this is the first stage. Stage two - Mark Cleghorn and the PhotoTraining4U team will then select the top 40 images. The third stage is the online vote based on a selection of 6 images. The top 10 panels with the most votes will then go through to the final stage, a live judging where Mark Cleghorn will choose his next Apprentices.

So anyone has the chance to win Photography's greatest prize.


Rules of Entry
Only one picture per person • The prize is 12 days of training including accommodation • Images entered into this competition may be used in promotion of the competition but copyright remains with the photographer • The winners will be selected by Mark Cleghorn and The PhotoTraining4U team and the online voting • Closing date for entries is 11th March 2012 • The top 40 will be selected live online on 16th March 2012 • The top 40 will provide a panel of 6 images for online voting • The top ten panels through voting will then be put into the final live selection with Mark Cleghorn • Applicants must be either a Lite, Monthly or Yearly active and paying member of PhotoTraining4U • Voting and judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into • Winners will be filmed during the training for use on the PhotoTraining4U website • Winners will be responsible for their own travel expenses to the UK PT4U Studios near Cardiff.
