Lesson 5 Part 2 includes – Mark continues the basic start to the session with the body details using hard light and then uses a diffuser Trigrip reflector to soften the light as well as to cut down the working aperture. Direction of light is changed to give different moods by introducing and using shadow in the portrait. Lisa & Anna then take on the session usingthe first setup.

Mark then changes the lighting setup by introducing a second light fitted with a honeycomb.

First of all Mark builds a simple set in the studio, then discusses the different reflector dishes and the effect on the subject and the background, before bringing in the model to start the session in a partners favourite white shirt scenario. The session starts with just hard lighting with a one light setup, initially three quarter portraits,, then head and shoulders and finishing with body shapes and details.
