Gary and Sue run a very successful Wedding and Portrait business from their home, the husband and wife team, both photographers, have created their own magical way of creating a happy client and at the same time making a superb living from photography – which after all is not a sin but an essential skill in running a business

In this film Gary and Sue take you behind the scenes on a real wedding, where you get to see and hear the real banter that goes on, plus how the 2 photographers have different rolls on the day.

Part 1 includes – Introduction to the wedding, The Camera Equipment, The Flash and Modifiers then the getting ready shots of the bride and entourage including the formal and informal portraits.

In this series of films you get to follow the two SWPP Apprentices, Lisa & Anna over 12 months on their route to higher qualifications and hence better photography skills. You will be able to track the Apprentices on their training journey using a combination of specific films on PhotoTraining4U as well as hands on monthly tuition with Mark Cleghorn on their route to becoming better photographers.

In this 3 part film Mark interacts with the Apprentices at one of Lisa’s locations as they are down at her locations for this training day to shoot portraits atthe second location, using just natural light to create the images.

Lesson 9 Part 3 includes – Location 2 – The apprentice continue shooting in the old military type location trying to make the most out of the misty weather. Mark talks about separation, composition, variety as well as a recap on the day.

Watch as the weather dramatically changes to create a whole different series of images, before the shoot moves on to location 2.

In this 3 part film Mark Cleghorn discusses Bride and Groom posing on location and how to maximise the variety in the short time we are allocated on a real wedding day.

Using a model bride and groom, Mark explains the use of location and the light combined with natural as well as fun and funky posing.

Each of the 3 parts takes place in the same location vicinity but with a radically different background in each film which will give you a better guide to using the location when combing posing.

Part 2 Includes – Posing The Sit , The Sat & The Lay using a concrete seat and pillar covered location. Split focus composition as well dramtic and simple compositionwith teh bride and groom.

Doug Gordon is the owner of Patken Photography, a family-owned studio established in 1985. Patken Photography has a staff over 27, shoots over 1,000 weddings a year and operates out of three separate studios in the New York City area.

Doug also speaks at national and international photography conventions, and sells instructional videos via Doug Gordon Workshops. He is passionate about teaching and helping others become successful wedding photographers. He recently became a writer for Rangefinder Magazine.
