Location Location Winter Wonderland
![]() |
In this film you get to see a location location shoot of a winter wedding bride and groom, the Location Location session is a part of the couples wedding package and shot as soon after the wedding as possible. On a freezing night shoot Mark moves quickly through a variety of areas at a fun fair location including the Carousel, a Fun Fair Stall, at the edge of the Ice Rink andfinally using the Big Wheel as a backdrop. Using both natural light and off camera flash, which today is the Quantum units, he shoots a variety of images to bring movement and a fun but romantic atmosphere to the photographs, in a quick succession of posing and locations in his usual real and raw manner, perfect on a freezing cold December night. Unusually for Mark’s Phototraining4U films you get to see the finished proof images after post production. The images have a pre-set applied using the onOne PhotoTools plug-in Software for Photoshop, the pre-set gives a soft grainy glow. |

Confetti & Lace IV – Part 4 The Reception & Groups
![]() |
Real and RAW is the only way to explain this type of wedding training by Mark Cleghorn, as you get to see how a working photographer copes under the pressures of a real wedding day, nothing fake here, as even the images have only been touched by camera RAW in conversion, so no Photoshop, just conversion from RAW to jpeg with some of the images selected to Black & White. The forth part of Confetti & Lace IV features the group photography both inside for the informal drinks reception and the posed groups. When shooting inside you can see how Mark uses and assistant to control the flash position to illuminate the subjects as well as to help lift the light in the scene. In contrast the posed groups, which are never ending are shot outside in the bright sunlight andback-lit whilst using some off camera flash to help illuminate the subjects and control contrast. |

Bride & Groom in the City
Wow what a location and only a billboard style of hording as a background, right in the heart of the city and there is nothing classical about this part of his Location Location session. With one of his real life Bride and Grooms Mark shows how even under weather problems of wind sun and rain he copes to bring energy and fun not forgetting shooting some colour dominant images. All the kit comes out on this session from super wide, mid range Tele to the big one as he works up close to the couple as well as from the other side of the street. The shoot is that exciting there was even a car crash, which of course is on film. The shoot really shows how he can control a subject to do what he wants, even at a great distance to get the animation and excitement in the pose he demands. |

Shooting Kids On Location Woodland Part 2
This is the second part of a film of 2 young children being photographed in a woodland location, where you get to see how Mark Cleghorn uses an every day location to great effect as well as acting the fool to coax a laugh out of the children. This film starts with a continuation of the shoot of the young brother and sister, including 2 other locations within a stones throw of the first. You get to see first hand how he can animate a subject from a distance in what some have referred to as his remote control posing. At the end of the film Mark reflects back on the session as the client leaves and discusses some basic childpsychology, or at least some working with children tips. |

Bride & Groom in Urban Architecture
This film demonstrates how Mark uses a variety of lens choice from a 12mm to a 200mm all to produce different images, the long lens to crush the background focus the super wide to distort. You get to see also how the variety is achieved through different camera angles, as well as the power of a reflector even on a windy day. The end of the film also sees his quantum flash units out of the bag to compensate for the over hang of the motorway, pushing himself, kit and hisassistant to the limit as he shoots over and over again great images and all in a time restraint. |
